Adele 'forks out millions' renovating 'gigantic' £46million Beverly Hills home

Adele might be proud of her Tottenham roots, but she's decided her forever Hometown is Beverly Hills - and has reportedly forked out millions to get her new mansion just right. The Easy On Me singer bought the house, which is her fourth in Beverly Hills, more than two years ago from Sylvester Stallone, but is said to still not have moved in with her son Angelo and partner Rich Paul as extensive renovations are still being carried out. Although Adele paid a whopping £47.4 million for her new pad, it was a steal in celebrity terms as it had been on the market for £90 million, leaving the superstar with change in the bank to make some home improvements.

‘The Bear’ Review: Carmy & The Dysfunctional Kitchen Struggle To Keep The Heat In Undercooked Season 3

When the FX drama “The Bear” arrived out of nowhere in the summer of 2021, it was thrilling, a bolt of “Uncut Gems”-like electricity coursing through the veins of damaged, traumatized characters trying to survive not only the high-pressure-cooker stress of a highly dysfunctional kitchen setting but their highly dysfunctional and broken lives. Ebon Moss-Bachrach, who plays Cousin Ritchie on the show, perfectly described the series in our season one interview as “high-sodium volatility”; no one was coked up on drugs per se (though sometimes they were), but the surging blood pressure anxieties of their environment and lives made for a brilliantly toxic and gripping show about generational trauma, grinding through life and surviving grief.

Michael Nordine Vampires are eternal, and so are movies about them. The genre shows no signs of going bloodless anytime soon, even if the oldest texts continue to inspire some of its most compelling entries.

‘The Bear’ Takes a Step Down in an Aimless Season 3 That Leans Too Heavily on Star Power: TV Review

Alison Herman TV Critic SPOILER ALERT: The following piece evaluates Season 3 of “The Bear.” While major plot developments — including guest stars — have been withheld to preserve the viewing experience, the network has requested spoiler warnings on all reviews. The second, much-improved season of “The Bear” was defined by a sense of momentum. Its 10 episodes were transitional in a literal sense, taking the FX half-hour from the closure of a family-owned Italian beef shop in Chicago’s River North to the opening of a fine dining concept in the same space.

Inspired in part by 1970s experimental filmmaker Nikos Nikolaidis and jumpstarted in earnest in 2009 by Yorgos Lanthimos with “Dogtooth,” and perhaps to a lesser extent Panos H. Koutras’ “A Woman’s Way,” the so-called Greek Weird Wave movement quickly spread like wildfire in the country.

‘They’re Here’ Review: A Small Group Of UFO Believers Don’t Make For A Captivating Film [Tribeca]

It would seem that were one to gaze into the future of sci-fi filmmaking, society will never see an end to the concept of UFOs as a plot device, with “They’re Here” the latest, but far from greatest, contender for the spot of genre-defining piece presumably meant to spark a conversation about whether or not we remain alone in the vastness of space. While this particular outing may indeed be rich in onscreen conversation regarding the possibility of interstellar visitors between whoever might be occupying the film at any given moment, it’s far from eye-opening and, it would seem, purposely aimless.

‘House of the Dragon’ Season 2 has more murder and sex — wastes Matt Smith: review

“Game of Thrones” prequel series, “House of the Dragon” returns for Season 2 after a long wait (Season 1 aired in 2022 and did gangbusters, with around 29 million viewers tuning in weekly). Premiering Sunday, June 16 on HBO (9 p.m.) and streaming on Max, the story picks up where Season 1 left off, following Daenerys Targaryen’s (Emilia Clarke) ancestors around 200 years before the original show. Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy) is supposed to be Queen, as her late father, King Viserys (Paddy Considine), named her as his heir before he died in the first season.
