Adele might be proud of her Tottenham roots, but she's decided her forever Hometown is Beverly Hills - and has reportedly forked out millions to get her new mansion just right.
The Easy On Me singer bought the house, which is her fourth in Beverly Hills, more than two years ago from Sylvester Stallone, but is said to still not have moved in with her son Angelo and partner Rich Paul as extensive renovations are still being carried out. Although Adele paid a whopping £47.4 million for her new pad, it was a steal in celebrity terms as it had been on the market for £90 million, leaving the superstar with change in the bank to make some home improvements.
She is said to have expanded the 18,587 square-foot mansion, which already had eight bedrooms and 12 bathrooms, taking into account the fires that have plagued Los Angeles in recent years. The Sun reported that she had installed a "cool roof" to meet the safety requirements for properties in the very high Fire Hazard Severity Zone and a source said: "When Adele bought the house she didn’t intend to change too much.
But she has a team of Hollywood experts on board who suggested the extra floor. "The house will be absolutely gigantic by the time it’s done.
But it is looking incredible and she thinks it’s worthwhile. "She wants it to be her forever home with her son Angelo and partner Rich Paul, and she dreams of extending her family there." The house sits in a double gated community, meaning the star will get some privacy, and comes complete with a cinema room, spa, putting green, gym and eight car garage - but for Adele, the focal point is Sly's old Rocky statue which sits by the pool.
