Swansea City manager Russell Martin has praised 'outstanding' Manchester City youngster Finley Burns ahead of his loan move to Wales.
It is believed that Burns will be joining the Championship side, who lie 17th, before the end of the January transfer window.
Commenting on the 18-year-old, Martin told Wales Online : "Fin is an outstanding young player. It enables one of our players to go out and play. Hopefully we will help develop Man City's player.
"I think it's a really good fit for all parties. We're really excited to work with him."
Burns has played just the once for Pep Guardiola's first team during a 6-1 victory over Wycombe Wanderers in the League Cup.
The centre half has made 37 appearances for City's U23s and has won silverware for the development side.
When the move is completed, it will mark the Englishman's first loan spell away from the Etihad Stadium.
His current contract with the Citizens is believed to last until the summer of 2027.
