Ben Shephard joked that Susanna Reid’s career “peaked” as they discussed “bonking” in Bridgerton on Good Morning Britain. The co-hosts of the ITV morning show were chatting about how the first season of the hit Netflix series had many steamy scenes, but the second series is notably different and many fans have been disappointed.

The first episode picked up on the big revelation from the finale of series one, when Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) was revealed to be behind the gossip column as Lady Whistledown. Nicola, 35, got to use her Irish accent in the scenes as she snuck off in the night to print the latest instalment of her newsletter.
