Survivor Season 45 went out strong.
Wednesday night’s three-hour finale episode managed an audience of 4.53M, according to early Nielsen data. That marks a 6% increase over the Season 44 finale.
Viewership tallies usually increase when Nielsen sends out its final numbers later in the day. This post will be updated when those are available.
According to Paramount Global, the Season 45 finale was also the No. 1 live-streamed entertainment program on Paramount+. When factoring in the audience on CBS digital apps, streaming viewership was up 27% from last year’s finale, which aired on December 14, 2022.
Survivor has been up overall this season with about 4% average audience growth year-over-year in multi-platform viewing. Paramount Global says the increase comes from digital viewing, as linear stayed even with Season 45.
Season 45 averaged more than 6M viewers per episode. For the first time since 2014, CBS is topping Wednesdays, thanks in part to the 25-54 demo that remains committed to its reality competition programming. Deadline took a deeper dive into Survivor‘s ratings this season here.
