In 2017, three actresses from “Saturday Night Live” were nominated in the Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series category for the 69th Emmy Awards. That was half the nominees in that category.
There is a strong chance Kate McKinnon, Chloe Fineman, Maya Rudolph, and Cecily Strong could break that record. And as much as we love their talent, we’re not so sure that’s a great thing for the Emmys overall.
