Sunderland manager Tony Mowbray has challenged Manchester United youngster Amad to 'bring it' every time he steps onto the pitch for his loan side this season.
United chose to send the 20-year-old to Sunderland in the final week of the summer window after Erik ten Hag decided he was not in his immediate plans.
Amad received interest from clubs all across Europe, but United felt that he would be better off plying his trade in a physical league that would prepare him best for a possible first-team promotion at United.

The Ivorian made his Sunderland debut from the bench in a 1-0 defeat by Middlesbrough on Monday night and will be hoping to earn a place in the starting line-up against Millwall this weekend.
In order to do so, he will need to catch the eye of his loan manager and Mowbray has urged Amad to give it his all whenever he takes to the pitch this season.
“I am excited by the young lads that we paraded on the pitch the other day, last Wednesday," the Sunderland manager said. “Diallo, little clips today. We know he’s sharp, he’s quick, he’s nippy. He has to bring it really. In every football match he gets his opportunity and he will get opportunities.”
