Strictly Come Dancing contestant Ellie Leach has been given an epic send-off from family and friends as she was surprised by her famous cousin at the weekend. The star was surrounded by all her loved ones ahead of her stint on the BBC dancing show, which kicks off next month.
The former Coronation Street actress took to social media to share the moment that her big cousin, ex-Corrie legend Brooke Vincent, led her to what she believed was a few "quiet drinks" down her local. But it actually turned out to be a "good luck" bash before making her debut on the iconic dancefloor.
Sharing a heartwarming clip of the moment Brooke led her into the trendy Manchester venue, which left her speechless, Ellie wrote on Instagram: "soooo this happened yesterday!!!!! What I thought was going to be a few quiet drinks turned into a surprise “good luck” get together before the strictly train starts!!!! Having all my family and friends together just having fun is something that i will always cherish, I can’t believe the love and support i have received already, feeling so grateful and blessed."
Ellie, who played Faye Windass during her time on the ITV soap, also shared some snaps of the wholesome bash with her nearest and dearest, which included a gorgeous colourful piped cake with the words 'Good Luck to our Dancing Queen' written on it and balloons.
There was also a hilarious throwback snap of the former actress as a child with the caption: "Time to get the glitter eyeliner back out. Strictly a secret," alongside the snap of Ellie done up in make-up in her younger days as they poked fun at her.
Following the event, the 22-year-old shared snaps of some of those attending the event as she gushed over being surrounded by her 'fave people'.
