Strictly Come Dancing's Tyler West has been partnered with professional dancer Dianne Buswell as they get ready to dance their way through this year's series. Radio DJ Tyler West was announced as the seventh celebrity to be taking part in this year's Strictly series.
Tyler, 26, said: "I am SO gassed to be joining the Strictly family! As I started writing this I already got cramp. It’s going to be one crazy incredible journey which will no doubt be SO far outside my comfort zone." After it was announced that he would be joining Dianne Buswell in the competition, Tyler raved about his partner, who he said he had "chemistry and banter" with.
“It’s a show that means so much to me and my family and I can’t wait to seriously shake a leg on that shiny dance floor… with a side of sequins," he shared. Speaking about his pairing, Tyler said: "I didn't think it was going to be Di, when she walked in, I was like: 'Amazing!' because we've met before and we just have that sort of chemistry and banter where she's like my sister and once you get past that everything else just becomes so fun.
"We just laugh all day, we get told off all the time, we're tie-dye. Our nickname is tie-dye, so we've got the merch coming and everything soon.
"But once that happens, it's like you can just get on with a dance and it's like, there's no: 'Oh, we've got to get to know each other.' We get on like a house on fire." Strictly Come Dancing stormed its way back to our screens today, with the introduction of all 15 contestants, which includes Coronation Street's Kym Marsh, Paralympian Ellie Simmonds and, of course, Tyler. He's best known for hosting the KISS FM weekday afternoon show, and was nominated for a prestigious ARIA for Best New Presenter in 2020.
