Strictly's Nadiya reflects on 'sad' Ukraine war as dad remains trapped in country

Strictly Come Dancing professional Nadiya Bychkova has shared an update on the “very sad” situation in Ukraine and shared that some of her family are still stuck in the country.The 32 year old Ukrainian Slovenian dancer reflected on the state of things in Ukraine, following Russia’s invasion and attacks during an interview on ITV’s This Morning. Mum of one Nadiya, who was joined on the famous sofa alongside fellow pro Graziano Di Prima, revealed: “I have some family there and friends.
It’s very sad.” The BBC show’s star, whose co-star Nikita Kuzmin was in a similar situation before he was reunited with his loved ones, then shared how her nearest and dearest are unable to flee. [And] my grandparents are too old.” However, Nadiya shared how some of her friends had managed to go to other countries in Europe, while she remains in close contact with both them and her family.The dancer, who has been linked to Strictly co-star Kai Widdrington, continued: “I’m trying to keep them safe. Some of my friends got the chance to get somewhere in Europe, so they’re safe.
“But I’m trying to check up on them, every day we’re in contact.
