Dianne Buswell has responded to recent rumours that she and partner Joe Sugg have called it quits after she headed to Australia solo.
The Strictly Come Dancing star took to social media this week to clarify that the 33 year old is still with her 31 year-old boyfriend as it's common for couples to spend Christmas apart, the Mirror reports.
The pair met on the BBC dance show back in 2018 after they were partnered together and have been in a relationship ever since. But people were quick to speculate over the relationship earlier this week after the professional dancer flew to her native home down under.
Announcing the trip in an Instagram post on Tuesday, she then proved naysayers wrong in her profile stories last night. Some of her followers suggested that the two may have split, others highlighted that both could be spending the holiday with their respective families.
In the temporary post, Dianne shared photos from her sunny holiday and also shared a touching clip which featured partner Jo. including a sweet post which featured her partner Joe.
It showed Dianne on a video call with Joe. The couple were both smiling as they virtually connected whilst apart, with her including laughing emojis and a heart emoji in the post.
The professional dancer was stood alongside an individual – who is believed to be her older brother Andrew Buswell – whilst on the call. The latter was dressed up as Santa Claus.
Some fans had already defended the couple against the speculation. One person wrote in the comments of Dianne's initial post: "Couples can have Christmas apart."
Another had written similarly: "They're still individuals with families to spend time with. Not every couple need to be together 24/7, it's healthy to be apart sometimes."
