Strictly Come Dancing fans were left amazed during Saturday's live show (December 2) when they spotted Tom Hiddleston and his partner Zawe Ashton in the live studio audience at Elstree Studios. Following the professional's impressive opening routine for Movie Week, Strictly hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly were introduced to the ballroom.
As the duo took their spot on stage, the camera panned to Tom, 42, and Zawe, 39.
The Marvel stars looked like they were enjoying the BBC competition and could be seen applauding the professionals. In another shot, the couple could be seen sitting in the audience and holding hands while Tess spoke to the camera.
Tom and Zawe were sitting in front of Jeff Brazier who was supporting his son and EastEnders star Bobby and dance partner Dianne Buswell. Strictly viewers were left stunned to see the Hollywood couple in the crowd and wasted no time in requesting Tom takes part in the next series of the show.
Taxing to X, one Strictly fan wrote: "#DoctorWho was brilliant! Musicals #Strictly was fab! Tom Hiddleston in the audience with Zawe Ashton has made my Saturday night!!!!!" A second stated: "Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton in the audience of strictly come dancing NEED THESE IN HD", while a third said: "Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton are just so sweet!!! This is too much." "TOM HIDDLESTON AND ZAWE ASHTON ARE IN THE AUDIENCE OF STRICTLY!!????? oh this is two worlds colliding HELP", proclaimed an excited Strictly viewer.
Someone else said: "Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton in the audience. Which one is in next year? Hope it is Zawe." Strictly viewers were dealt another surprise on Saturday as Nigel Harman was confirmed to have exited the competition early on medical grounds.
