Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden has shared a health update with worried fans as she had her eighth and final chemotherapy treatment.
The ballroom star took to social media to share a snap ahead of her treatment reports the Mirror.
She wrote: "It’s chemo number 8! The last one! We are finally here. I’ve cried all morning! Right an afternoon of chemo and then I’m so lucky and grateful to be able to ring that bell!
"Will never take it for granted! Thank you to the incredible Sheldon Unit! You are all amazing # nhs, all #trueheroes. Right here goes! See you all later."
The Strictly Come Dancing star later shared a picture next to the chemotherapy bell with two other patients and revealed all three of them would ring it today.
She captioned the post: "Today all three of us ring that chemo bell! 32,35 and 26 when all diagnosed with breast cancer so please this is a note from us three to check your chest! Cancer doesn’t discriminate! Our wish to you all is the remember to monthly check!"
Amy's Strictly co-stars rushed to praise their friend as Dianne Buswell commented: "Makes me so so happy," while Gorka Marquez commented with two love hearts. Former Strictly star James Jordan wrote: "B****y fantastic news!!! You are one strong young lady and an inspiration – ring it loud."
Members of the extended Strictly family shared their support as former contestant Michelle Visage wrote: "WE LOVE YOU AMY." Molly Rainford added: "Sending love and hugs."
Amy took to her Instagram Stories to share updates from her day, which included a clip showing a selection of sweet treats.
