BTS‘ Jin has dropped new teasers for his forthcoming debut solo single ‘The Astronaut’, out later this month.On October 19 at midnight KST, the Korean idol announced the impending release of his debut solo single album ‘The Astronaut’, alongside its release date of October 28 at 1pm KST.Simultaneously, a logo trailer for the new project was also shared via the HYBE Labels’ YouTube channel. The two-minute clip begins with an A-shaped spaceship orbiting around Earth.

The next generation of Apple TV 4K features the A15 Bionic chipset, offering CPU performance up to 50% faster than the second-generation of Apple’s 4K streaming boxes, and graphics processing unit performance up to 30% percent for “even smoother gameplay,” the tech giant said. It also adopts USB-C port for charging — dropping the previous generations’ use of the proprietary Lightning connector.

Taylor Swift has announced details of the first single from her upcoming album ‘Midnights’, and shared some of its lyrics on billboards.The singer will release her 10th album on Friday (October 21), and has already confirmed an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon the following Monday (October 24).In a social media post, the singer has now confirmed a host of other events happening in the week around the album’s release, including the release of an official video for the single ‘Anti-Hero’ at 8am EST (1pm BST) on album release day.Swift declared the track ‘Anti-Hero’ to be “one of my favourite songs I’ve ever written”, and noted of its significance: “I really don’t think I’ve delved this far into my insecurities in this detail before.”On Thursday (October 20), a teaser trailer will be shown in the third quarter of Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime Video, while a “special very chaotic surprise” is also set to take place at 3am EST (8am BST) on Friday. Stray Kids’ latest mini-album ‘Maxident’ has debuted at Number One on the Billboard 200 chart.On October 16 (EST), Billboard shared that the eight-member boyband have scored their second Number One record of 2022 with their mini-album ‘Maxident’ for the week ending October 13.This marks their second time topping the chart this year after April’s ‘Oddinary’. Stray Kids are now the first and only act so far to debut two Number One albums on the chart in 2022.According to Billboard, ‘Maxident’, which was released alongside its lead single ‘Case 143’, had achieved 117,000 equivalent album units in the US in its debut week.

ITZY are set to release a new English-language single ‘Boys Like You’ later this week.On October 17 at Midnight KST, the quintet shared a poster on Twitter announcing their upcoming pre-release single ‘Boys Like You’, due out on October 21 at 12AM EST/1PM KST. John Hopewell Chief International Correspondent Fremantle has acquired international distribution rights to “East Side,” the latest series from “Shtisel” producer Abot Hameiri, starring Yehuda Levi, a Series Mania 2022 best actor winner for “Fire Dance.” Taking 100% ownership of Abot Hameiri last year, Fremantle, which also co-financed the series, will bring “East Side” onto the  market at this next week’s Mipcom trade fair and conference in Cannes. To debut on Israel’s Kan 11 channel, “East Side” turns on Momi,  a former Israeli secret service agent hired to take over a Palestinian neighbourhood, one home at a time. He attempts one last sale in order to set up for life his 18-year-old daughter Maya who is on the autism spectrum. The challenge is to wrestle ownership of a grand hotel which dominates entrance to Jerusalem’s Old City. Whoever controls the entrance controls the City, Momi is told. But the owner, the new Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem, says he is not for selling.  

Blink-182 have returned with their first song to feature Tom DeLonge in just months shy of a decade: a belting pop-punk anthem titled ‘Edging’.Despite its title (and the returning frontman’s penchant for tongue-in-cheek raciness) the song is surprisingly void of sex jokes, instead offering a self-deprecative take on the dissolution of a relationship. It opens with DeLonge singing the first verse, as he quips: “I ain’t that cool, a little fucked in the head / They’ll be hangin’ me quick when I’m back from the dead.”A music video for ‘Edging’, directed by Cole Bennett, is due to be released tomorrow (October 15).

EXID’s main vocalist Solji has released an emotional ballad track titled ‘I believed it was love’.On October 11 at 6PM KST, the 33-year-old singer released the poignant new single across several streaming platforms. Initially led by a piano instrumental, ‘I believed it was love’ soars to life in its chorus, its lyrics describing the feelings of heartbreak after a lover expresses a change of heart.“I believed it was love / The way you look at me / Even the warm embrace / Maybe you’ll miss that time, too, / I had high expectations for nothing again today,” Solji belts powerfully on the chorus.The new track is Solji’s first solo release since ‘By Your Side’ in August for the period medical drama Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist.

Dermot Kennedy has also announced the dates for his 2023 UK and European tour.‘Innocence and Sadness’ is a powerful, piano-led offering that will feature on his second studio album, ‘Sonder’ – due for release on November 4. The release of the track has also been accompanied by an acoustic performance shot live from Mission Sound Studios in Brooklyn, New York.“It’s impossible for me to express how much this song means to me,” Dermot said of the single.
