Storm Malik has hit Scotland hard today with three weather warnings in place throughout the country.
The east coast is braced for the worst of the weather with gusts in excess of 75 mph possible for parts resulting in an amber Met Office warning.
Mainland Scotland is set to experience high winds for most of the day with the warnings in place until 3pm.
However, the Met Office yellow warning remains in place for Orkney and Shetland until 8pm this evening.
The storm already caused chaos throughout Scotland this morning.
Hundreds of trains have been cancelled with road bridges including the Tay Bridge closed to all traffic with the Queensferry Crossing closed to high sided vehicles.
