A yellow weather warning for snow has been issued for many areas of Scotland.
The Met Office warning comes into force at 4pm this afternoon and is to remain in place until 11am tomorrow morning.
Forecasters expect wintry showers to fall to low levels this evening with heavier showers in areas above 200m.
The caution stretches from northern Scotland to the central belt with Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow amongst the areas likely to see flurries of the white stuff.
The weather is set to create some difficult travel conditions with disruption likely across the areas impacted.
Up to 10cm - or four inches - of snow is expected on higher grounds with slushy falls and icy surfaces expected throughout on lower levels, according to the Met Office.

The wintery showers are expected to become more confined to higher grounds as we head through Thursday, reports the Met Office.
Temperatures will remain low, ranging from just 1C to 6C throughout the day tomorrow.
