Steve McClaren has already told Manchester United how Cristiano Ronaldo can guide them to success this season, likening his drive to former captain Roy Keane.
The 37-year-old added the player of the month to his growing list of personal accolades since returning to the Premier League. On Tuesday, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner issued a rallying cry to his teammates as they embark on an important final run-in.
McClaren has been linked with a return to Old Trafford should Erik ten Hag be appointed permanent manager. The pair worked together at Twente, though the roles of assistant and head coach would be reversed this summer.

Amid speculation over Ronaldo's future, McClaren has already made clear the stock he puts in the Portuguese great's influence both on and off the pitch. Speaking in November 2021, the former United assistant manager warned that Ronaldo could "make or break" in the dressing room but tipped him to be the driving force.
He told the Daily Mail: "You see from his body language, you saw it from the game against Atalanta, he's driving the team on. It's reminding me a little bit like Roy Keane.
"He was more vocal, direct, honest but I see that body language that I need more from these players, we've got to do more. Bringing in a person into the dressing room like that can make or break you.
"He can do the job. He can do it."
