Coronation Street fan favourite Bethany Platt may soon be in danger, according to the latest episode of the ITV soap, after the junior journalist began receiving scary texts from someone who seemed to be part of a far-right extremist group she was investigating. Bethany first picked up the dodgy contacts from Lauren Bolton, whose dad was part of such a group and had influenced her and Max Turner with his racist beliefs in a 2022 storyline.

In a new Associated Press interview promoting “Drive-Away Dolls,” Ethan Coen confirms reports that he’s going to make a horror movie with his brother Joel Coen after he makes his next movie, “Honey Don’t.” “We talked about it for a long time, but we hadn’t actually written anything,” Coen said, the AP describing it as a horror film that they wrote fresh, not from an old screenplay.

With its raunchy sex and vivid violence, the film is more an affectionate tribute to hard R drive-in B movies that more resembles something from the mind of Russ Meyer than anything resembling smart, Oscar-y movies like the Coen Brothers’ No Country For Old Men, Big Lebowski, Barton Fink, Fargo, Blood Simple etc.

The pilot is titled “The Sensitive Kind.” Exact plot details are being kept under wraps aside from the fact it is described as a “Tulsa noir about a guy (Hawke) who knows too much.” Harjo created the project and will also serve as director and executive producer. Hawke will executive produce in addition to starring, with Garret Basch also executive producing.
