Stacey Solomon’s BBC Sort Your Life Out co-star has been diagnosed with cancer.
Fan favourite Dilly Carter told fans on social media yesterday after they noticed she was missing from a recent episode and replaced with Stacey’s good pal, cleanfluencer Sophie Hinchcliffe.
Dilly, 41, who is a show regular, took to Instagram to tell followers that the reason she was not on screen was that she was undergoing major surgery at the time of filming last October.
The Mirror reports that the star was diagnosed with womb cancer last year and underwent surgery and radiation therapy. And in a now-deleted Instagram post, Dilly said: “I haven’t seen any episodes yet so I can’t wait to watch this one, Although it’s bittersweet for me and reminds me of how poorly I was and how much pain I was in when this episode was filmed.”
She added: “I had just come out of the hospital following major surgery to remove the cancer and my entire reproductive system. I obviously could not film, so I was so grateful someone could step in. But I was also so sad to miss it! I can’t believe how far I’ve come since December. It already seems like a lifetime ago already!”
The episode featured Andy and Leanne Farrow and their kids Rhys, 13, Connor, 10, and six-year-old Amber.
The team went to their rural Shropshire farmhouse which was stuffed full of clutter. With the help of Sophie, AKA social media star Mrs Hinch, they got some order in the family’s home.
The property had been a messy sight - overrun with coats, shoes and laundry - sending the family's daily life on their busy farm into chaos. A total of 32 rolls of wallpaper, 81 satchels and handbags and 241 balls of wool were sorted out.
The show launched in 2021 and is now on the third season.
