Stacey Dooley and partner Kevin Clifton welcomed their beautiful daughter Minnie in January, and yesterday saw Kevin's celebrate his first birthday since becoming a dad. In an adorable Instagram post, the 36-year-old journalist celebrated the Strictly star's 41st birthday with a picture of him holding nine-month-old Minnie against a backdrop of silver foil balloons.
The balloons read '41' and 'daddy', while the post said: "Celebrating daddy last night." In another birthday tribute, new mum Stacey also called Kevin the "LOML" [love of her life] and signed it off from "Mummy and Queen Mins." The dancer then commented underneath, "Love u so much," while fellow Strictly star Tess Daly penned three heart emojis. The picture notably doesn't share Minnie's face - only the back of her head - as the couple have been keeping social media snaps of their little one to a minimum.
In an episode of Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over: Family And Me, the star clarified that they’ll only be showing the “back of her beautiful head”. She said: “Me and Kev have had various conversations, you know – do we show Minnie? I want her to be able to give genuine consent.
She’s not going to be in the limelight.” Stacey has also been incredibly honest about her new journey into motherhood and has even spoken out after trolls mum-shamed her on Instagram.
The mum posted an adorable clip to social media of baby Minnie watching the BBC show Strictly Come Dancing - a show that's close to their hearts after Stacey met Kevin when she won the show in 2018. Posting a video of her baby daughter, Stacey got emotional seeing her daughter "watching her Daddy's show".
She captioned the post: "NO IM NOT OKAY. First time I’ve been home for Strictly and legit Minnie loves it.
