‘Spider-Man,’ ‘Doctor Strange,’ ‘Thor’ shift release dates

With movie theaters closed amid the ongoing pandemic, our homes have been turned into a cinema in the time of coronavirus, with many films available on VOD or to stream earlier than expected. But those are largely movies that had the unlucky timing of dropping right before social distancing descended upon the nation.

Last August Arrow Video FrightFest celebrated twenty years of embracing the dark heart of cinema. The five day event saw over seventy genre films screen and introduced a slew of excellent movies. Several of our favourites – Rabid, Daniel Isn’t Real, Bliss, Girl on the Third Floor and Harpoon have already arrived into our homes, and today we received the brilliant news that not one, but two others, are headed our way very soon.

Hollywood is continuing to shuffle more release dates due to the Coronavirus pandemic. As the world stops to take a collective deep breath, the production of movies, serials, and TV shows have been put on hold amid the ongoing COVID 19 lockdown. The latest movies to join the list are Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Spider-Man 3. Sony Pictures and The Walt Disney Co. announced the revised theatrical release schedules on April 24 and confirmed the delay.

First, the bad news: Marvel is making some adjustments to their Phase 4 slate amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Which means we’re going to have to wait a little longer to see Black Widow and Thor and Doctor Strange on the big screen.

Filmmaker Sam Raimi has finally confirmed he’s onboard to direct the upcoming sequel, Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness.

American actor Bruce Campbell dropped a hint on his Twitter account about him wanting to play the villain in the highly anticipated film, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The makers of the Benedict Cumberbatch starrer revealed that Sam Raimi will be directing the film.
