Stories From An Extraordinary Life.In the film, the pair appeared together in the musical number ‘Dentist!’, where Martin’s character slams a door in her face.“I was hit all day by doors opening in my face; repeatedly punched, slapped and knocked down by an unlovely and unapologetic Steve Martin – perhaps he was method acting – and came home grumpy with a splitting headache,” Margolyes wrote (via The Huffington Post).She later described Martin as “undeniably brilliant, but horrid to me”, adding: “Let it not be said that I have never suffered in the name of art.”Margolyes went on to compare him to her “unerringly sweet” Ed And His Dead Mother co-star Steve Buscemi, who she said “knocked spots off Steve Martin”.In recent years, Martin is best known for starring in Hulu series Only Murders In The Building opposite Martin Short and Selena Gomez. Emiliano De Pablos Spanish mini-major Filmax has picked up international sales rights to “Teresa,” the new feature by Paula Ortiz (”The Bride,” ”Across the River and Into the Trees”), a fictional story turning on the prominent Spanish mystic and religious reformer Saint Teresa of Jesus. “Teresa” marks the big screen adaptation of Spaniard playwright Juan Mayorga’s stage play ”La lengua en pedazos,” which narrates a meeting between Saint Teresa of Jesus – also known as Teresa de Ávila – and a character called The Inquisitor. The feature is not a classic biopic, but rather a free adaptation of the text written by Mayorga – a winner of Spain’s National Prize for Dramatic Literature – which in turn, is based on “The Book of Life,” by Saint Teresa herself.

Yossman “Shakespeare in Love” actor Simon Callow has been cast in the sequel to micro-budget slasher hit “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey.” Stage and screen star Callow, who has also appeared in “Four Weddings and a Funeral” and “The Witcher” among other fare, is set to play a character called Cavendish, who is described by the filmmakers as “a pivotal character with a dark past somehow tied to Christopher Robin.” “Cavendish’s tragic life, marked with alcoholism, violence and regret, not only brings significant depth to the story, but revelation as well,” the producers tell Variety. Variety understands Callow was approached via his agents and, liking the character, agreed to sign on for the role.
