Sophie Wessex gave a beautiful nod to Dame Deborah James during her trip to Gibraltar trip with her husband, Prince Edward. Deborah is currently receiving at-home hospice care for her stage four bowel cancer, five years after she was first diagnosed with stage three of the disease.
Since announcing the devastating news that she doesn't have long left to live, the 40 year old has raised millions of pounds for cancer research and even launched a clothing range with all profits going to her Bowelbabe fund.The clothing line with InTheStyle has been a huge success – and it's now been revealed that he's even a hit with the Royals, as 57 year old Sophie was seen wearing the t-shirt with Deborah's slogan during her trip. Stepping out in Gibraltar, Sophie swapped her glamorous attire for the low-key top with "Rebellious Hope" written on it.The royal knotted the bottom of the t-shirt and teamed it with a pair of nude-coloured shorts. Her blonde locks were pulled off her face, and she shielded her eyes from the sunshine with a pair of shades.
Deborah was thrilled with Sophie's outfit choice as she took to her Instagram Stories to share a snap. "How great does the Countess of Wessex look in the @inthestyle Rebellious Hope t-shirt for the @bowelbabefund - thank you for the support Sophie! @theroyalfamily," she wrote. Deborah is currently at her parents' house in Woking, Surrey where she admitted she is "scared to sleep" as she's frightened about what could happen. Deborah launched her bowel babe fund when she told fans that she had moved to end of life care, and the response to her callout for donations has been phenomenal.
