Marc Malkin Senior Film Awards, Events & Lifestyle Editor I’m on the phone with J. Harrison Ghee when they walk into their dressing room at the Shubert Theatre before Tuesday night’s performance of “Some Like It Hot.” It’s their first show since winning the Tony about 48 hours earlier, taking home the prize for leading actor in a musical for their work as Jerry/Daphne. “Oh, my God,” Ghee says. “There are a lot of flowers here.” Then they sigh and choke up. “I can’t believe this,” says Ghee, who identifies as nonbinary. “Flowers from Billy Porter!” The card reads, “Welcome to the club, bitch.”
I ask Ghee what it was liking waking up on Monday morning and realizing they were a Tony-winner. They also made history with “Shucked” star Alex Newell as the first nonbinary nominees to win acting Tonys on Sunday. “Well, I didn’t have much time to sleep,” they say. “I had to get to the White House.”
Ghee and their “Some Like It Hot” castmates Adrianna Hicks, NaTasha Yvette Williams and Kevin Del Aguila flew to Washington, D.C. on Monday. They received a tour of the White House and met with President Biden’s openly gay press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre as well as second gentleman Doug Emhoff to talk about visibility and representation of trans and nonbinary individuals. Ghee handed their Tony to Emhoff. “He was like, ‘No, I can’t,’” Ghee says. “I was like, ‘Yes, you can. Come on, you’re the second gentleman. Give it a spin!’”A post shared by The White House (@whitehouse) In their acceptance speech at the Tonys, Ghee thanked their mother for “teaching me how to live, how to love, how to give.” They also delivered a powerful message: “For every trans, nonbinary, gender-nonconforming human who ever was told you couldn’t be, you

Indiana Jones has been entertaining audiences for four decades, and the fifth movie is keeping up the tradition. In the past, Indiana Jones has worked toward stopping the Nazis in "Raiders of the Lost Ark," found himself on a dangerous adventure in India in "Temple of Doom," working against the Nazis to find the Holy Grail in "Last Crusade," and racing against the Soviets in search for a hidden artifact with his long-lost son in Peru in "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull." The newest movie, "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny," follows the famous architect on a journey with his goddaughter, Helena Shaw, played by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, on their way to find a dial that is said to hold the powers of changing history.

Harrison Ford is synonymous with the role of Indiana Jones, but the 80-year-old is revealing he wasn't the original man chosen to don the iconic hat, leather jacket, and whip of the beloved character. While promoting the franchises fifth installment, "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny," Ford described how he got the role. "How I got the job? Elsa Keslassy International Correspondent Eye Eye Pictures, the banner recently launched by the producers of Joachim Trier’s Oscar-nominated “The Worst Person in the World,” has started filming “Armand,” a feature film starring Cannes prizewinning actor Renate Reinsve. Charades has come on board to handle international sales on the film. “Armand” marks the feature debut of Halfdan Ullmann Tøndel, whose short film “Fanny” was nominated for an Amanda Award, Norway’s equivalent to the Oscars, in 2017. The story follows a 6-year-old boy, Armand, who is accused of crossing boundaries against his best friend at elementary school. While no one knows what actually happened between the two boys, the incident triggers a series of events, forcing parents and school staff into a captivating battle of redemption where madness, desire and obsession arise.
Harrison Ford is not leaving acting anytime soon. The Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny star is opening up about his future and retiring is not a possibility.
Max Friday. “When it’s helpful, I’m happy to have it, and when it’s not, I’m disappointed that we’ve chosen to use it,” Ford said. “I think it’s not a question of the technology, it’s how you use it,” he continued. “I mean, we have the capacity to generate more enemies than anyone would ever face before. More airplanes in the sky than anyone would ever see.

Clayton Davis Senior Awards Editor New voting methods will likely yield surprise Emmy nomination inclusions (and exclusions) this year. There could also be historic representation in several areas, with ethnicity, age and decades-old records shattered. HBO is no stranger to setting Emmy records. The fantasy epic “Game of Thrones” currently holds multiple records, including the most overall nominations for a drama series at 161 across its eight seasons. The network is celebrating its 50th anniversary and a new Max branding — so naturally, it wants more. If the early projections are accurate and it lands four drama series noms — “House of the Dragon,” “The Last of Us,” “The White Lotus” and last year’s winner, “Succession,” — HBO would tie the record for most series noms by a network in a single year, held by NBC since 1992.
