Actress Jennifer Wilson who appeared in Coronation Street, Casualty and Doctors has died aged 89. A family friend shared the sad news that she'd passed away at her home in France last week.
Jennifer, who was born in London on 25 April 1932, played Kate Nickleby in the 1957 BBC adaptation of Nicholas Nickleby. She played Detective Sergeant Helen Webb in ITV's series Special Branch from 1969 and is best known for her role as Jennifer Kingsley in the 70s BBC series The Brothers.
Jennifer starred in all seven series of Brothers which ran between 1972 and 1976. She appeared in the hospital A&E drama Casualty and had a recurring role in the BBC soap Doctors as Nancy Milne.

She also played Maureen Vickerstaff in the same show back in 2003. And in Coronation Street she played Mrs Bradbury in an emotional episode screened on October 17 2014.
Viewers saw much-loved cafe owner Roy Cropper returned to Blackpool to scatter his late wife Hayley's ashes. And he met Mrs Bradbury and her husband, an elderly couple who made a two-hour coach trip to the seaside resort.
The couple were having trouble setting up their deckchairs and Roy offered his assistance. Watching them affectionately bickering stopped Roy from carrying out the act of saying a final goodbye to Hayley and he returned to Weatherfield without scattering the ashes.
Family friend Rob Cope wrote on Twitter and shared a photo of the actress smiling for the camera: "Farewell my lovely friend Jennifer Wilson who has passed away in Cannes aged 89.
"Jenny was a Shakesperean starlet before finding success in TV, most notably as Jennifer Kingsley in The Brothers.
