Actress Jennifer Wilson has passed away aged 89. Jennifer was known for her roles as Mrs Bradbury in Coronation Street and Lily Compton in Casualty, as well as starring in hit 70s shows The Brothers and Special Branch. It's believed the actress, who was born in London on 25 April 1932, passed away at her home in France, according to a friend.
Her cause of death is currently unknown. Jennifer's final TV appearance is thought to have been in 2015 when she starred as Nancy Milne in several episodes of Doctors. Jennifer's friend took to Twitter to announce the sad news, where he described the late actress as his "lovely friend" and a "Shakesperean starlet".
He wrote: "Farewell my lovely friend Jennifer Wilson who has passed away in Cannes aged 89. Jenny was a Shakesperean starlet before finding success in TV, most notably as Jennifer Kingsley in The Brothers. I shall remember the balmy hot nights in Cannes we shared together and the laughs." In light of the news of her passing, people have taken to social media to pay their condolences.
One person wrote: "Farewell Jennifer Wilson who has passed away in France, aged 89. Jennifer was in every episode of The Brothers between 1972-76. Condolences go out to her daugher Mel and grandsons.
