Cavetown has announced a huge headline show in London – find all the details below.The singer-songwriter (real name Robin Skinner) is due to perform his biggest headline gig to date at Alexandra Palace on Sunday, September 24 as part of his Bittersweet Daze festival.He personally curated the event’s line-up, which also features special guest openers Alfie Templeman, Dodie, Tessa Violet and Cafuné.In a statement, Cavetown said: “This is going to be such a massive epic time and I can’t wait to play songs with my dear pals in London at this incredible venue :’) !!!”Tickets go on general sale at 10am GMT this Friday (March 10) – you’ll be able to buy yours here. Fall Out Boy have announced two intimate UK shows and shared the tracklist for their upcoming new album ‘So Much (For) Stardust’.The band will release their eighth studio album – and first in five years – on March 24, via Fueled By Ramen.Ahead of the record’s arrival, Fall Out Boy will return to the UK for two tiny shows in Manchester and London. The US band will play at Manchester’s Band On The Wall on March 15 and London’s Heaven on March 16.Fans who pre-order the new album from Fall Out Boy’s UK web store before 2pm GMT on March 7 will get exclusive ticket access to the special gigs.

Avalon Emerson has announced the release of her debut album for her new musical project, as well as sharing new single ‘Hot Evening’.The self-titled record ‘Avalon Emerson & The Charm’ will be released on April 28 via her Another Dove label. The Southbank Centre in London has announced a celebration of the 50th anniversary of David Bowie’s ‘Aladdin Sane’ album, with talks, performances and a two month exhibition exploring the record’s iconic artwork.“We’re honoured to pay tribute to David Bowie, who made his Southbank Centre debut in 1969”, says the venue’s Artistic Director Mark Ball. “The ‘Aladdin Sane’ album cover portrait is considered to be one of the most influential pop culture images of the past half century, and the music remains fresh and contemporary, so we wanted to recognise this major anniversary and reflect on the album and its artwork’s enduring legacy”.“It’s a work that continues to inspire today’s contemporary artists and the gender fluidity of the images still resonate deeply in queer culture in the UK and across the world”, he adds.The artwork exhibition will run from 6 Apr to 28 May, and has been curated by Chris Duffy, son of the photographer who took the distinctive lightning flash portrait, Brian Duffy.
