Six additional elderly residents at the Motion Picture & Television Fund’s skilled nursing facility in suburban Los Angeles have tested positive for the coronavirus, bringing the total to seven.
The MPTF reported the first case on Tuesday. About 250 entertainment industry retirees live on the MPTF’s Wasserman Campus in Woodland Hills, Calif. All seven are residents of either the Mary Pickford House long-term care facility or Harry’s Haven, its Alzheimer’s unit.

The first active NFL player known to have tested positive for COVID-19 has been revealed. On Wednesday night, Jay Glazer of FOX Sports reported on that center Brian Allen of the Los Angeles Rams tested positive for coronavirus three weeks ago. Rams coach Sean McVay also confirmed the news on the program.

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson have returned home to the United States after testing positive for COVID-19, the novel coronavirus, in Australia. The "Cast Away" actor took to his Twitter account to announce the good news after he and Wilson spent more than two weeks in Queensland self-isolating.
