Self Esteem has delivered a stripped-down cover of ‘Remember’ by Becky Hill and David Guetta while performing for the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge.Rebecca Lucy Taylor’s primarily a cappella rendition of the 2021 song considerably pares back the high-energy electro-pop of the original. For the most part, she’s accompanied solely by a group of backing vocalists providing harmonies, with some understated but effective piano chords towards the latter half of the song.Taylor also performed ‘Fucking Wizardry’ from last year’s ‘Prioritise Pleasure’, also with a relatively sparse arrangement.

Björk has shared a brand new single called ‘Atopos’ – you can listen to it below.The song serves as the first preview of the Icelandic artist’s 10th studio album ‘Fossora’, which is due to arrive on September 30 via One Little Independent Records (pre-order here).“Could you please play it loudly?” Björk asked fans on Twitter today (September 6) upon releasing her abrasive, bass-heavy latest offering.“The lyrics are inspired by what Roland Barthes described as the unclassifiable OTHER ‘our differences are irrelevant our union is stronger than us’.”In a separate tweet, Björk explained: “[‘Atopos’ is] sonically a heavy bottom-ended bass world. We have six bass clarinets, punchy sub-drilling, nesting and digging us into the ground.”The surreal official video for the single – directed by Viðar Logi – follows Björk as she parties in an otherworldly fungal environment.

Lil Baby has announced his third studio album, ‘It’s Only Me’ – listen to new single ‘Detox’ below.The record, which will follow on from 2020’s ‘My Turn’, is due to arrive on October 14 via Motown.“I know it’s been a long time coming but I’m coming harder and harder,” Baby wrote on social media to share the news of the forthcoming LP, adding the hashtag “#worththewait”. He also posted the official artwork for ‘It’s Only Me’.The painting-style cover depicts the present-day Lil Baby sitting in front of a Mount Rushmore-esque mountain face that boasts carvings of the artist at four different stages of his life.

Self Esteem has added six more shows to her 2023 UK and Ireland tour.The singer-songwriter’s ‘I Tour This All The Time’ tour, which is in support of her Mercury Prize-nominated album ‘Prioritise Pleasure’ (2021), marks her biggest headline gigs yet.Self Esteem (real name Rebecca Lucy Taylor) will hit the road on February 21, 2023 at Cambridge’s Junction before wrapping the tour at Manchester’s Albert Hall on March 18.The new dates are in Edinburgh (March 5), Glasgow (6), Oxford (14) and Sheffield (16). Taylor has also added second shows at London’s Eventim Apollo (March 17) and Manchester’s Albert Hall (18).Tickets go on general sale at 10am BST this Friday (September 2) from here.

Madonna‘s daughter, Lourdes “Lola” Leon, has shared her debut single ‘Lock&Key’ under the artist name Lolahol.The 25-year-old model and dancer’s debut single arrived on Chemical X, the label owned by New York experimental pop artist Alexandra Drewchin, aka Eartheater. Drewchin also co-wrote and co-produced the song alongside Leon, Kiri Stensby (aka Hara Kiri) and Samuel Burgess.Sonically, ‘Lock&Hey’ is a hyperpop-oriented cut that situates Leon’s silky vocals over glassy synths, growling sub-bass and frenetic electronic beats. It arrived alongside a video, also directed by Drewchin, which you can watch below:Back in October, while speaking with actress and family friend Debi Mazar for Interview, Leon discussed bringing a multi-faceted approach to her creative projects.

Thania Garcia After weeks of anticipation, Anitta has finally dropped the Missy Elliot-featuring “Lobby” along with its visual counterpart, which sees the two superstars serving serious looks as they pass time at a posh hotel.The glossy and flirtatious “Lobby” begins with Elliot’s introduction of “that new Anitta, suckas!” as the Brazilian superstar’s melodious vocals take control over the song’s disco-pop chorus. Elliott expertly flows in about halfway through the song to deliver a racy flow: “Straight to the party, we meeting up in the lobby / I’m feeling kinda naughty, the way he be on my body.”In the music video, directed by Arrad, the two take turns showing off their dance moves as the thumping bass line gives way to the track’s catchy chorus: “Kiss me from the roof to the lobby.” There’s even a moment where Anitta becomes doll-sized and skips atop Elliot’s shoulder.

LE SSERAFIM member Huh Yun-jin has released a new self-produced solo track, ‘Raise y_our glass’.The sentimental visual accompanying the release sees Yun-jin recording the track in the studio, along with other clips of her writing the track and embarking on photoshoots and promotional activities with her LE SSERAFIM groupmates.“In this ugly world where the colour is fading / You’re beautiful in every colour and shade / I don’t know if you drink, / But raise a glass to the past in the story of us,” Yun-jin croons in the chorus. ‘Raise y_our glass’ is available to stream on Soundcloud.This isn’t the first time Yun-jin has been credited as a producer on a song.

Pixies have shared the latest preview of their forthcoming eighth album, ‘Doggerel’ – an equally smoky and melodic cut of alt-rock titled ‘Vault Of Heaven’ – announcing with it a short run of US tour dates.The song itself features an allusion to a bad drug trip and copious references to 7-Eleven, as Black Francis (aka Frank Black) sings in the first verse: “There in the vault of heaven / While trying to titrate / I ended up in… / Another case. I went to 7-Eleven / To try and get me straight / I ended up there… / In outer space.”‘Vault Of Heaven’ arrives alongside a suitably wacky music video, directed by Charles Derenne.
