It has been alleged that female comedians within the industry set up a WhatsApp group with warnings about Russell Brand.
The 48-year-old comedian has strenuously denied claims of sexual assault, rape and emotional abuse.
According to a joint investigation by Channel 4 Dispatches, The Sunday Times and The Times the actor has been accused by four women of assaults and attacks across a seven-year period between 2006 and 2013.
One victim claims he assaulted her when she was only 16 years old and still at school - when he was aged 31. In response to the allegations.
Russell Brand spoke out ahead of the television show airing on Saturday night and said his relationships have all been consensual.
As the allegations emerged, it was reported that female comedians set up a group chat to warn about predatory behaviour.
Scottish comedian Daniel Sloss has so far been the only Scot to publicly speak out on the allegations to The Times, admitting he first heard the rumours circulating within the industry more than a decade ago.
Daniel claims female comedians set up online groups to safeguard themselves by warning others of those they have worked with and had uncomfortable or difficult experiences with, including predatory behaviour.
"I know for many, many years that women have been warning each other about Russell," he told The Times as part of the investigations.
The comments come as Russell has been accused of rape, sexual assaults and emotional abuse during a seven-year period at the height of his fame.
Speaking in a YouTube video, which is 2 minutes and 45 seconds long, Brand denied the claims and said: "Amidst this litany of astonishing, rather baroque attacks are some very serious allegations that I absolutely refute".
