Comedian Katherine Ryan has broken her silence since the recent allegations were made against Russell Brand. It comes as the comedian-turned-Hollywood-star Russell was accused of rape, sexual assault and emotional abuse.
He has strongly denied the accusations and said all his relationships were consensual. Channel 4 broadcasted a special Dispatches investigation over the weekend where four women made claims against the 48 year old during the time Russell was a presenter on BBC Radio 2 and Channel 4, between 2006 and 2013.
Addressing his YouTube channel subscribers last week, Russell shut down all allegations against him and said any relationships he was in was “absolutely always consensual”. Comedian Katherine Ryan previously said she worked with a "sexual predator" while appearing on the series Roast Battle with Russell Brand in 2018.
Amid the allegations against Russell, a short clip of Katherine has gone viral where she previously shared that she confronted an unnamed male comedian, who she dubbed a "predator", during a November 2022 documentary with Louis Theroux. Katherine has never given a name to the “predator”, however did claim that it was an “open secret” amongst the people in the industry.
The mum of three also said that it was “not my story to tell” and that she has not been a victim of sexual assault herself.
