"Take Me Out" is coming back to Broadway with "Modern Family" actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson and former "Grey's Anatomy" star Jesse Williams both reprising their roles. The Tony award-winning play written by Richard Greenberg, directed by Scott Ellis and produced by Barry and Fran Weissler will be playing for 14 weeks at the Schoenfeld Theatre, beginning on October 27.  The play ran for a limited run this past spring and received four Tony nominations.The play is about Darren Lemming, a fictional baseball professional baseball player played by Williams who comes out as gay.

Tony winner Jesse Tyler Ferguson and nominee Jesse Williams are suiting up again as stars of the baseball-themed Take Me Out, which is set to return to Broadway in the fall. The hit revival will re-take the field October 27 at the Schoenfeld Theatre for 14 weeks, it was revealed today.

It also generated a lot of buzz for its ample on-stage nudity (that aspect led the show’s producers to require patrons to lock their phones in Yondr pouches to prevent photos from leaking online).Ferguson will return for the production, as will Jesse Williams, the “Grey’s Anatomy” star who won raves for his lead performance. “Take Me Out” will open its doors on Thursday, October 27 at the Schoenfeld Theatre.

Brian Tyree Henry has found his post-“Atlanta” television role. The actor will star in “Sinking Spring,” a new Apple TV+ series from writer Peter Craig and director Ridley Scott.Based on the book “Dope Thief” by Dennis Tafoya, the eight-episode series will follow “long-time Philly friends and delinquents who pose as DEA agents to rob an unknown house in the countryside, only to have their small-time grift become a life-and-death enterprise, as they unwittingly reveal and unravel the biggest hidden narcotics corridor on the Eastern seaboard,” per the streamer.This will be Craig’s first television project, after working on films including “The Batman” and “Top Gun: Maverick.” He will write and executive produce across all eight episodes and direct one episode.Scott executive produces for Scott Free Productions alongside David W.
