A young woman has gone missing overnight from a Dunfermline village, with cops dubbing her disappearance 'completely out of character'.
Sarah Jane Scullion was last seen in Touch at around 11.30pm on Wednesday September 21. The 26-year-old has failed to make contact with loved ones since, with worries now mounting for her welfare.
She is described as around 5ft 5ins and of medium build with shoulder-length, brown and blonde hair, which was tied up in a bun.
She was wearing a white padded jacket with a fur-trim on the hood, grey jogging trousers and Nike trainers when she vanished. She also walks with the aid of a crutch.
Police Scotland are now asking for the public's help as part of their ongoing efforts to trace the young woman. Anyone who has any insight as to where Sarah Jane might be is urged to come forward immediately.
Sergeant Kris Robertson said: “It is totally out of character for Sarah Jane not to stay in touch with her family and friends and we are becoming increasingly concerned for her safety and wellbeing.
"We are carrying out searches and enquiries in the local area to trace her as soon as possible to ensure that she is safe and well.
“I would urge anyone who has seen her, or who has any information regarding her whereabouts to contact us as soon as possible through 101 with reference number 0416 of 22 September.”
