Scots Twitter reacted after finding out that a plot of Scottish land would be a gift in goodie bags at the 2022 Oscars.
Many were 'livid beyond belief' at the contents of the 'Everybody Wins' gift bag which includes the plot of land and a two-night stay at Turin Castle in Forfar.
Family-run business Highland Titles are behind the gift of a plot of land.
The land, which cost £150 per 100 sq ft, will give them the title Laird or Lady of Glencoe and they will be free to visit the land whenever they choose.
But on hearing the news, many took to Twitter to react.
One said: "I know it’s dumb and meaningless but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Yet more of the highlands as a playground and themepark for the rich and famous."
Another added: "It’s that sort of “name a star after yourself” level of meaninglessness but it just makes a mockery of real land ownership issues in the highlands."
While one said: "I read about this earlier and it made me so, SO mad."
Another commented: "I agree, this isn’t very sensitive or respectful."
One Twitter user complained: "Absolutely ridiculous! They should gift it back to a Scot."
While one scathed: "I saw this and was horrified!!! Absolutely disgusting sense of entitlement to give away land that locals cannot afford to buy. Heart breaking."
Other goodies in the bag include gold infused olive oil, a 12 month supply of the water resistant and SPF30 make up, and cosmetic procedures.
