A cycle-hating Scottish couple completed an epic around-the-world biking fundraiser in aid of a children’s hospice yesterday.
Bob and Deborah Gulliver set off on their world tour from the Children’s Hospice Across Scotland (CHAS) in Kinross in March 2022 to fundraise for the charity.
And in tribute to their surname, they called the trip Gullvier’s Travels.
CHAS offers family support for those with children dealing with life-shortening conditions.

“It made us realise even more why we have been doing this.”
The determined duo, who own the British Sailing Group in Inverkip, said they “created more memories in two years than many do in a lifetime”, as it’s estimated that they have raised five figures for CHAS.
The pair suffered from numerous setbacks throughout the challenge, including a debilitating gastric illness in Uzbekistan, eye and ankle injuries and even having a gun pointed at them in Florida.
Bob added: “Whenever we felt exhausted, we would think of the children supported by CHAS across Scotland, and that would always spur us on.
“As parents ourselves, it is
