Scotland's GPs have begged the public not to blame them for the country’s NHS crisis.
Yesterday both the doctors’ union, the BMA, and the Royal College of General Practitioners insisted GPs were not “refusing” to see patients - but claimed there was a shortage of at least 800 GPs.
There has been widespread criticism of GPs from patients and other healthcare staff - who claim there has been a lack of face-to-face appointments in the aftermath of the coronavirus lockdown.
