The Times has revealed its 100 "best places to stay" in the UK for 2023 - and nine Scottish hotels made the list.

A holiday park in Scotland has been crowned the best caravan park in the whole of the UK.
Hunters Quay on the Cowal peninsula in Argyll and Bute triumphed over thousands of other holiday sites from around the nation to claim the prize. The award-winning holiday village in Dunoon is part of Cove UK’s Argyll Holidays group.
The award was bestowed by Hoseasons, which is "the leading booking site for holiday parks across the UK". Hunters Quay also won the Best in Britain title in the Customer Choice Food Award.

Managing Director of Cove UK Mark Seaton said: “To be crowned the best caravan park in Britain is a tremendous achievement for Hunters Quay given the quality of competition around the country.

Elsewhere, Hunters Quay's Argyll Holidays sister park, Drimsynie Estate Holiday Village at Lochgoilhead, also took home a top prize. It won a Diamond Award for Scotland in the ‘Relax & Explore: Large Park’ category.
Commenting on both of the parks' wins, Mr Seaton continued: “We’re also delighted that Drimsynie Holiday Park won a Diamond Award in the large park category, underlining the quality that exists across the Argyll Holidays portfolio.
