A teenager who took matters into his own hands after refusing to go the barbers for months has left himself looking like an iconic 90s movie character. Carly Bickerdyke says she pestered her 14-year-old son Mason Prady to get a haircut for months.
She says the teenager, from Stalybridge, was being too 'stubborn' to go to the barbers. But mum Carly was left stunned this week as she realised Mason had decided to have a go himself with a pair of kitchen scissors - and made himself look like Jim Carrey's character in Dumb and Dumber, Lloyd Christmas.
Mason grinned as he showed Carly, 34, his short, straight, bowl cut style fringe by appearing on the family's Ring doorbell camera so the mum-of-three could see it at work. A shocked Carly responded: "Why have you done that? You're not even funny."

Carly admits she was left 'crying with laughter' and pointed out to a confused Mason that he looked just like Jim Carrey - but the teen didn't know who he was. She said: "I've been telling him to get his hair cut for weeks and he's been saying no.
"He's quite stubborn, if he's not doing something, he's not doing it. His fringe was in his way and getting on his nerves so he trimmed it himself. They pressed the Ring doorbell and I was like 'what have you done, why?' and he said 'just because I wanted to'.
"I found it funny. I was crying with laughter. My cousin sent me a photo of the Dumb and Dumber haircut and Mason came in my room, I looked at him and couldn't un-see it.
"I said 'I can't talk to you Mason without seeing Jim Carrey. I can't look at you without laughing'. It's so funny.
