The city of Santa Monica has announced it is moving up its curfew to 4:00 p.m. and closing the highway ramps into the city.
Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti had announced an 8:00 p.m. curfew for the city earlier on Sunday, prompting other areas to follow suit. Beverly Hills, hit by looting and property damage on Saturday, also moved its curfew up to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Santa Monica’s curfew will last from 8:00 p.m. Sunday to 5:30 a.m. Monday.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office on Monday announced it would decline to charge protesters arrested over the past two weeks on suspicion of curfew violation and/or failure to disperse. Bothcurfew violations and failure to disperse aremisdemeanors, meaning it will be up to some city attorneys to determine whether to file charges, which includes Los Angeles, Long Beach, Santa Monica, Pasadena, Torrance, Burbank, Inglewood, Hawthorne, Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach.

Santa Monica and Beverly Hills have continued curfews into Monday in response to the ongoing protests sparked by the killing of George Floyd, setting 1 p.m. curfews for business districts and 4 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. curfews for the rest of their respective cities.
