Cole Sprouse says he is among the protesters who were arrested in Santa Monica, Calif., over the weekend. The "Riverdale" star said on Instagram on Monday that he took to the streets to join protesters when he and several others were detained.

Cole Sprouse shared with his over 32 million Instagram followers that he was arrested in Santa Monica on May 31 during a peaceful protest after the brutal death of George Floyd on May 25. In the caption to his post, which featured a black and yellow “Black Lives Matter” banner, the Riverdale actor, 27, wrote, “A group of peaceful protesters, myself included, were arrested yesterday in Santa Monica.

As cities across the nation reel from the juxtaposition of events related to the brutal murder of George Floyd amind a global pandemic, more stay at home curfew orders have been issue and West Hollywood has led the way for Los Angeles.
