SAG Awards Will Tape Acceptance Speeches Days Early – But Can Actors Keep a Secret?

It’s not a huge surprise, but still not good news for SAG, TNT & TBS. Sunday’s broadcast drew a .11 rating on both TNT & TBS.

Minari's Youn Yuh-jung may have emerged as the Best Supporting Actress frontrunner after winning a SAG Award, gaining a key advantage despite Borat's Maria Bakalova having a Critics' Choice Award win under her belt. The biggest implication from the SAG Awards, though, may be Viola Davis' lead actress win.

Four actors made Screen Actors Guild Awards history on Sunday after being the first people of color to sweep the top four categories in film acting.  The SAG Awards are a closely watched Oscar harbinger. Actors make up the largest branch of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, and SAG winners often line up with Oscar ones.
