BBC Radio 2 host Rylan Clark appears to have weighed in on the ongoing Phillip Schofield drama. In an interview with The Telegraph, the 34-year-old discussed major scandals that the world of TV has faced this past year, and it looks like he's made a swipe at the former This Morning presenter - someone who he has worked with on numerous occasions over the years.
When speaking about people that he’s shared a screen who then caught up in gossip, Rylan made it clear if it’s nothing to do with him, he has nothing to say. However, he did let slip his one rule when it comes to rumours and said, "The only time I get involved with something like that is when my name is involved." The star then went onto say, “Work hard, be decent to everybody and be nice to everyone on the way up, because everyone has a fall.” Rylan, who shot to fame on The X Factor, has really made a name for himself in the world of presenting but lately found himself embroiled in speculation when people were looking to guess the identity of a BBC presenter who had been found to have paid out tens of thousands of pounds in exchange for explicit photographs.
The star Rylan quickly released a statement via social media to defend himself: “Not sure why my names floating about but re that story … that ain't me babe. I'm currently filming a show in Italy for the BBC, so take my name out ya mouths.” Now, as the frenzy has calmed down, Rylan has addressed the moment he found himself at the helm of the story.
“But this is my point. One person would have said, ‘I’ve heard it’s Rylan,’ or, ‘I bet it’s Rylan,’ someone else sees that, and the next thing you know there’s a paper using my photo on the story," he said.
