Former Miss Ukraine Anastasiia Lenna has joined the Ukrainian forces to fight Russian troops as Vladimir Putin's invasion continues.The stunning brunette has swapped evening gowns for a rifle as she warned Russian invaders that they will "will die on our land" if they continue their advance. Sharing images on her social media, Anastasiia, who represented Ukraine at the 2015 Miss Grand International beauty pageant, has vowed to defend Ukraine until their safe border is restored.This week, Anastasiia, who has 315,000 Instagram followers, posted another video contrasting Ukraine before the war compared to recent photos and videos.

A former Miss Ukraine winner has spoken out about her harrowing escape from her homeland in the midst of Russia’s ongoing invasion of the country. Veronika Didusenko, who took the title of Miss Ukraine in 2018, said she gathered her 7-year-old son on the morning of Russia’s first attack after being awakened by the sounds of “air raid sirens and explosions,” according to her recent interview with Extra.

Ukraine officials have fired a grim warning to Europe after its Chernobyl nuclear power plant was hit by a blackout.

Model Veronika Didusenko traveled through war-torn Ukraine and four countries before arriving in Los Angeles, where she appeared at a press conference Tuesday alongside attorney Gloria Allred to speak about actions needed to help her homeland. Allred and Didusenko highlighted the dangers Ukrainian women and children are facing as they flee Russia's brutal attacks. Allred urged President Joe Biden to implement Humanitarian Parole for Ukrainian refugees as soon as possible.

Olga Smirnova, a prima ballerina from Russia, is speaking out against the country’s invasion of Ukraine. A lead dancer with the Bolshoi Ballet, Smirnova said she is "ashamed of Russia" and publicly denounced its president, Vladimir Putin, for giving the order to invade the neighboring country.

With the war in Ukraine continuing to push many of its citizens out of the country amid Vladimir Putin’s invasion, protests continue in Russia.  Thousands have taken to the streets to denounce the war, including the daughters of some of Russia’s most elite figures with ties to the Kremlin.  One of Russia’s most outspoken opponents of the invasion on social media has been Sofia Abramovich, who publicly called out Putin in her Instagram Story with a post that said, "Putin wants a war with Ukraine.The biggest and most successful lie out of the Kremlin propaganda is that most Russians are with Putin." (Mike Egerton/PA Images) The equestrian is the daughter of Roman Abramovich, 55, the owner of the Chelsea Premier League Football Club who has a reported net worth of $12 billion.The club owner has said he will sell the team after mounting pressure brought on by the invasion and his ties to the Kremlin.  Abramovich also announced that he has instructed the popular football club to set up a foundation that will use all net proceeds from the sale of Chelsea to "benefit all victims of the war in Ukraine." Abramovich has yet to be sanctioned over his relationship with Russia.

Russia has carried out it's deadliest missile attack on Ukraine overnight since the conflict began killing over 70 people.

The highest-ranked Ukrainian tennis player in the world, Elina Svitolina, announced today that due to the Russian invasion of her country, she would not play a “match against Russian or Belarussian [sic] tennis players until our organizations take this necessary decision.”
