Paramore have shared a touching message for their longstanding fandom, reflecting on the decade that’s passed since they released their pivotal self-titled album.Their fourth full-length effort, ‘Paramore’ was released on April 5, 2013 via Fueled By Ramen. It was their first album a three-piece following the (rather messy) departure of brothers Josh and Zac Farro – who played guitars and drums, respectively – some three years earlier, and in the lead-up to its release, they described it often as a “statement” on that split.Looking back in a new statement shared on social media, frontwoman Hayley Williams emphasised that making ‘Paramore’ took “a lot of guts and self-determination”, particularly amid rabid fan (and critic) speculation over whether the band could thrive without the Farros (Josh had been an integral part of Paramore’s songwriting dynamic on their first three albums).
A walk down memory lane. Eva Mendes honored the movie that introduced her to Ryan Gosling more than a decade ago.
journalist Graham Bensinger whether there was any truth to the 69-year-old “Happy Days” alum crossing over to the adult film industry, Ron laughed but admitted, “Well, it’s true that it went through my mind.“It endured as a serious idea for probably two and a half to three seconds,” the former child star declared.Specifically, in the 1970s, Howard entertained directing a cheekily-titled skin flick, “Opie Gets Laid” — not to be confused with a same-titled 2005 rom-com — in which the main character’s first name would mirror the one from Ron’s more innocent days on the 1960s sitcom “The Andy Griffith Show.”“Yeah, ‘Opie Gets Laid’ would have probably made Ron a million dollars and he could have gone off and made a movie, but I’m glad he steered away from that because I don’t think anyone really wanted to see Opie get laid,” his brother, actor Clint Howard, 63, separately told Bensinger, covering his eyes. Ron’s daughter, “Jurassic World” star Bryce Dallas Howard, 42, also admitted that she’s relieved her father decided against partaking in porn.

Bob Iger is back, debonaire, relaxed, articulate and talking up Disney IP via video in front of Walt Disney Word, where the company appears to have outmaneuvered Ron DeSantis for control. He also fianlly spoke his mind on the simmering feud, telling the company’s virtual annual shareholder meeting today that the governor’s apparent “retaliation” against Disney for exercising a right to free speech “is not only anti-business, but anti-Florida,” given the jobs, taxes, resources and revenue Disney provides the state.
Jennifer Maas TV Business Writer Returned CEO Bob Iger made a rare public comment about Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ moves to “punish” Disney for its position against Florida’s so-called “Don’t Say Gay” Bill last year during the company’s annual shareholders meeting Monday, calling the decision “not just anti-business, but anti-Florida.” “It seems like he’s decided to retaliate against us,” Iger said, referring to DeSantis’ power struggle with Disney in Florida, the home of Disney World, in an attempt “to punish a company for its exercise of a constitutional right.” “That seems really wrong to me,” he added. “We’re currently planning now to invest over $17 billion Disney World over the next 10 years,” Iger said, noting that Disney estimates this will lead to 13,000 new jobs within the company and “thousands of indirect jobs” in the state, thus bringing in more taxes for Floriday.
Ron Howard found fame in front of the camera at an early age, portraying Opie Taylor on "The Andy Griffith Show" before starring on "Happy Days." But during an interview with Graham Bensinger, Howard admitted his rise to the top as one of the world's most coveted directors wasn't an easy climb. As he worked on "Happy Days," Howard said he was losing patience not being able to fulfill his true dreams of becoming a filmmaker. A rumor was put to rest that Ron's first vision was creating a wild new version of an old character.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis hasn’t officially declared himself a candidate for the 2024 presidential election at this point, and that’s fine by Whoopi Goldberg and the hosts of “The View.” That’s because, as Whoopi so bluntly put it on Thursday morning, DeSantis is “not ready for America.”To kick off the day’s Hot Topics discussion, the women discussed their opinions on how DeSantis has positioned himself politically thus far, particularly with his responses to twice-impeached former president Donald Trump’s attacks, as well as DeSantis’ own gripes about “wokeness.”When Sunny Hostin and Sara Haines began debating if DeSantis is actually playing a smart long game, having gone to both Yale and Harvard, Whoopi noted that DeSantis’ degrees don’t mean much to her.“Just because people have education, doesn’t mean they have any kind of real sense,” Whoopi said.
