Rose Byrne has dished on her plans to marry Bobby Cannavale. While speaking to People for an interview published on Wednesday, the Platonic star was asked whether she would like to eventually tie the knot with the Boardwalk Empire actor. "I'm more married to him than anybody I've ever been with my whole life," Rose told the outlet.
"Definitely something that we will do. . .
We'll get around to it. "The couple met through mutual friends in 2012 and publicly confirmed their romance in 2013. They share two sons; Rocco, seven, and five-year-old Raphael.
And while Rose insisted she "absolutely" planned on marrying Bobby, "scheduling" made it difficult. Calling marriage ceremonies "very moving", the Australian actress exclaimed, "I love going to weddings. .
. I've been a bridesmaid twice, I loved it. Everyone else is so over being a bridesmaid and I'm like, I loved it.
I found it so entertaining. "Elsewhere in her interview, Rose gushed over being able to make movies with Bobby. She noted that their "collaborations are always fun" because the 53-year-old is "a true artist".
Bobby and Rose, 43, have appeared in six films together, including the upcoming Inappropriate Behaviour, which was directed by Tony Goldwyn and also features Robert De Niro. "I love working with him," Rose asserted of her partner. "I was a fan of his work before we were friends before we were together.
And so, it felt very seamless to do. I hope we get to work together again. "

David Byrne has reached an agreement with a musicians union over his Here Lies Love Broadway musical. The musical is based Byrne and Fatboy Slim‘s double album of the same name, which was released in 2010 and documents the life of Imelda Marcos, the former first lady of the Philippines. It was previously held at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art in 2012, New York’s Public Theater in 2013, London’s National Theater in 2014, and the Seattle Repertory Theater in 2017.But a new Broadway production, which is set to premiere on July 20 with previews beginning next weekend, received an objection from the American Federation of Musicians’ Local 802 last month over the show’s plan to use pre-recorded music. The union claimed that it violated a contract clause requiring that at least 19 musicians are hired for all musicals staged at the Broadway Theater. Responding to criticism in The New York Times, a spokesperson for the production claimed that the decision to use pre-recorded music was “part of the karaoke genre inherent to the musical and the production concept.”At the time, Byrne issued a statement of his own defending the production choices, explaining the “dance club track-act immersion” as part of the show’s nontraditional staging. But it has now been agreed that the production will go ahead with 12 musicians, all of whom are union members. We are proud to announce that “Here Lies Love” will have live music in the form of 12 musicians.

Here Lies Love,” advertising a score by David Byrne and Fatboy Slim and direction by the ground-breaking Tony winner Alex Timbers. The show’s logo is superimposed over a mirror ball, literally reflecting the production’s highly unusual immersive nightclub setting, a semi-ironic counterpoint to a sobering story about the rise and fall of fascistic Filipino power couple Ferdinand and Imelda Marcos in the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s. The tag line above that disco totem: “The Revolutionary Music Experience.” It’s a revolution that the union representing Broadway musicians would like to stop in its tracks, at least in its current form. And with the show set to open for previews in less than two weeks, the production and the Local 802 of the American Federation of Musicians remain at loggerheads about how “Here Lies Love” will, or should, proceed.

Alison Herman TV Critic The Apple TV+ comedy “Platonic” is a reunion of the 2014 movie “Neighbors” (and its 2016 sequel “Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising”), again pairing stars Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne with the writer and director Nicholas Stoller. But “Platonic” also models itself after another, more enduring classic: Nora Ephron’s “When Harry Met Sally,” a film explicitly referenced in the pilot of “Platonic” and the greatest work of art drawn from the essentially trite question of whether (straight) men and women can be friends. In “Neighbors,” Rogen and Byrne played spouses. In “Platonic,” they’re long-estranged besties who rekindle their codependent bond. As premises go, it’s a thin one. Ephron’s opus is now 34 years old, and even “When Harry Met Sally” was less seriously engaged with the idea of friendship between the sexes than using the setup as a showcase for Ephron’s wit, Meg Ryan’s charm and Ryan’s chemistry with Billy Crystal. “Men and women don’t really hang out with each other at our age,” says Sylvia (Byrne), a former lawyer who’s now a stay-at-home mother of three. Her argument is half-hearted, unconvincing and immediately dismissed by her husband Charlie (Luke Macfarlane), who encourages Sylvia to get in touch with craft brewer Will (Rogen) in the wake of his divorce.
