Rodri has explained where he believes Manchester City must improve after their draw with Chelsea.
City were held to a 1-1 stalemate with Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League clash on Saturday night. Raheem Sterling put the visitors ahead before Rodri equalised in the closing stages to rescue a point.
The draw means City are now four points behind leaders Liverpool with a game in hand, which comes against Brentford on Tuesday night. City are also two points behind Arsenal following their win over Burnley earlier in the day.
City had chances to score more goals in the game, with Erling Haaland in particular missing opportunities to get on the score sheet. However, Rodri has explained where he and his teammates must improve defensively and revealed what made City "scared" of Chelsea, especially in the first half.

"I think we weren’t great in the first half. We conceded another easy goal," Rodri told Sky Sports. "I think we have to defend better. They almost created nothing in the first half.
"We knew about their counter-attacks and fast players, but we have to defend the counter-attack better. From there, it’s always more difficult to come back.
"It’s a matter of defending better. We tried in the second half. [We had more] spirit, we wanted the ball and wanted to take risks. We were a bit scared of the counter-attack [in the first half]. You have to be brave."
