Rodri has ruled out a future transfer to Saudi Arabia like other big names from Europe, as he discussed his future after leaving Manchester City.
The importance of midfielder Rodri was highlighted recently when City lost all three games as he served a three-match suspension for a foolish red card last month. He returned to action for Spain over the international break as they secured qualification for Euro 2024, and is set to walk back into the City team against Brighton this weekend.
Speaking to Spanish media ahead of his return to Manchester, Rodri was asked whether he would consider returning to Spain after his time at City is done, having joined the Blues from Atletico Madrid in 2019. Under contract at the Etihad until 2027, Rodri's reply suggested he was only focussed on City.

"I try to enjoy the moment, just as I never imagined playing in the Premier League and upon arriving it has been very positive," he told Cadena Ser. "Spain is my country and we'll see. I move a lot for sporting challenges; I want to win and I came here for that and I am very happy."
On the same theme, Rodri was then asked if he would join the likes of Aymeric Laporte, Riyad Mahrez, Cristiano Ronaldo and a number of high-profile names in moving to the Saudi Pro League.
Effectively ruling out a move to Saudi Arabia, he replied: "It is very difficult for me to be attracted to a challenge like Arabia because I have sporting ambitions."
