Rihanna had a surprise for everyone at her much-hyped pop star return in the 2023 Super Bowl Half Time Show...but it wasn't quite the surprise everyone had been expecting.
Decked out in resplendent red and performing on a rising and falling tiered stage, Rihanna's Half-Time show (the first-ever produced by streaming giant Apple Music) was a banger-filled set, of course, given that she has more than a decade worth of chart-topping floor-fillers to include.
Before the performance, rumours were swirling about the surprise guests that Rihanna would welcome to the stage - would we get Jay Z for Umbrella? Drake for a rendition of Work or What's My Name? Maybe even Calvin Harris on the decks for We Found Love?
Turns out, Rihanna had one very special guest in mind - her second baby, her pregnancy with which she announced with a bump-accentuating outfit during the live show.

Following social media investigations during the live show, Rihanna's reps confirmed to press after the event that she was indeed pregnant with her second child with A$AP Rocky, something that Rihanna herself confirmed on her own social channels.
This also puts to bed rumours that Rihanna would be announcing something at the Fenty Bowl - with theories ranging from a new album drop, a surprise new single or even the announcement of a brand-new world tour.
Congratulations Rihanna!!
As for the Fenty Bowl itself, it was, as you can expect, packed front to back with some right bangers. From surprise opener Bitch Better Have My Money to closer Diamonds, there were tracks featured from several of her studio albums - Good Girl Gone Bad, Rated R, Loud, Talk That Talk, Unapologetic and Anti.
