Ricky Hatton has spoken out for the first time about his new romance with Claire Sweeney as he shared what he 'really likes' about the Coronation Street star. The pair first got tongues wagging about a relationship after being spotted on a series of pub dates throughout spring.
They then stepped out on the red carpet together for the first time last month at the first opening night of the £365m Co-op Live Arena. They both posted photos on their Instagram accounts after posing together at the press boards for celebs and VIPs at the new arena's welcome event before a string of cancelled or postponed shows followed.
And fans were quick to admire what a "gorgeous" and "beautiful" couple boxer Ricky and actress Claire looked like while they were also branded a "match made in heaven".

They have since enjoyed a sun-soaked holiday in Tenerife earlier this month before returning back to the UK. On Sunday (May 12), Ricky was seen on the red carpet at the BAFTA Television Awards 2024 after his Sky documentary, Hatton, was up for a gong.
While Claire, 53, wasn't by his side on the night, the actress, currently playing Cassie Plummer in ITV's Corrie, did share a message on social media which read: "Good luck tonight darling @bafta. So proud of you @rickhitmanhatton."
When on the red carpet, Ricky was asked about his and Claire's recent holiday to which he replied to The Sun: "It was great! Claire is like me, I’ve met someone who I get on with like a house on fire. She is just like me. We spend our whole time laughing together. Claire is just like me - she’s so down to earth."
