Restaurant to take 18-staff on Spanish holiday to thank them for hard work

A restaurant in Wales is showing its staff how much they appreciate them - by taking them away on holiday.
Wales based eatery The Bridge in Llangennech, Llanelli is set to take 18 of its staff to Spain for four days later this month to reward them for a busy summer season.
The restaurant is run by family Alex and Salvo Giannini and is well-known to locals for its Sunday dinners. Salvo Giannini told WalesOnline: "We as owners are pretty demanding and our staff have been able to hit the mark every day. And we are not talking about the financial targets here, we are talking about customer satisfaction.
"We have had a very busy summer and we are heading to a more busy festive season. It is important to take a break." Mr Giannini said the restaurant would also be undergoing a refurbishment and would be closing from October 23 to 27 while the staff go to Palma, Spain.
"We thought that this would be the perfect opportunity to reward our hard-working staff who have had a very busy and hectic summer," he said, adding that the restaurant's staff were like family to the owners. "So all their flight tickets, stay and meals are covered in this."
The Bridge has 25 full-time and part-time staff members, of which 18 are going on the trip as others have prior commitments. It follows the news this week that the CEO of a Wales-based credit checking company took 350 of his staff on a free holiday to celebrate the firm's 25 years in business.
